About
I am a resident in anesthesiology, and a Dripps Research Scholar in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania.
I completed my medical degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and my doctoral degree at the George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Târgu Mureș, Romania. My doctoral research focused on delirium prevention in critically ill children, examining sedation practices and implementation of the ABCDEF bundle in pediatric intensive care.
My research aims to improve outcomes across the perioperative period and in critical care settings, with a particular interest in applying causal inference methods to large observational datasets. I have contributed to several multi-center trials, including the PICU Up! trial , which investigated early mobilization in pediatric critical care.
My current work focuses on optimizing sedation strategies in pediatric intensive care, examining the relationship between intravenous fluid management and acute kidney injury, and developing perioperative care models for high-risk surgical populations. I also maintain an interest in evidence synthesis, and the critical appraisal of clinical practice guidelines.
